Rail operator bans e-cigarettes

Passengers are banned from using electronic cigarettes trains and stations run by rail operator Greater Anglia.

Passengers have been banned from using electronic cigarettes on trains and stations run by rail operator Greater Anglia.

A spokesperson said the ban was "in common with other train operators" and the decision haf been taken "in line with the British Medical Association's recommendation that e-cigarettes should be included in the ban on smoking in public places."

The use of e-cigarettes has also been banned by eastern region rail operators C2C and First Capital Connect.
