Gurkhas from Berkshire and Hampshire on hunger strike
Gurkha veterans from Berkshire and Hampshire have marched on Westminster to campaign for equal pension rights.
Some 25,000 Gurkhas who retired before 1997 get about a third of the pension received by their former British comrades.
Two veterans have started a hunger strike over what they say is the government's refusal to grant equal rights. Two more will take over after 24 hours.
There are 10,000 Gurkha veterans living in the UK, many of them in Reading and Aldershot.
