Cazalet Chronicles writer Elizabeth Jane Howard remembered
Tributes have been paid to the best-selling author Elizabeth Jane Howard.
Her publicist of nearly 40 years, Jackie Graham, confirmed to the BBC that she died "peacefully - after a short illness" at home in Bungay, Suffolk
She authored a series of highly-acclaimed novels, which included The Light Years, Marking Time, Confusion and Casting Off, selling millions of copies worldwide.
The poet Anthony Thwaite and his wife Ann, an award winning writer, both knew Elizabeth Jane Howard.
They described her as an important literary figure who will be fondly remembered by her friends.
