Minister's plan to save signal box
A Methodist minister from Nantwich in Cheshire wants to save a two-storey signal box by installing it on his church car park.
The signal box on Wellington Road was built in 1948 but is no longer used and is due for demolition.
Railway enthusiast Rev Malcolm Lorimer, who already has a miniature railway running around his church, said: "In 50 years time someone will say 'I'm glad they kept the signal box'."
Network Rail said: "Discussions will continue to find an alternative home for this local landmark."
