East Midlands has highest scarlet fever cases in England

The East Midlands has the highest number of cases of scarlet fever in England.

Latest figures a show 778 reported cases since September - a greater total than for the whole of London, according to Public Health England,

Since the start of the year, Derbyshire has had the most with 207 confirmed cases and Leicester has the fewest with 21.

Almost 900 new cases were reported in the country last week - the highest weekly total for more than three decades.
