East Midlands sees biggest unemployment drop in UK

The East Midlands had one of the biggest falls in unemployment in the country, according to the Office for National Statistics.

Its latest quarterly figures also showed youth unemployment has fallen to its lowest level in a generation in the region.

There are 126,000 people out of the work in the region, down by 55,000 on the same quarter last year.
