Floral Hall 'struggling' for volunteers one year on
A year after a community hall in East Yorkshire was taken over by volunteers, its operators have said it is a "struggle" to find enough volunteers to keep the venue going.
A campaign to stop the demolition of Hornsea's Floral Hall started in 2012 and it was taken over by the community in August 2013.
Floral Hall director Richard Carmichael said: "We've managed to save the hall, that was the easy bit. The more difficult thing now is keeping the hall open and going."
Venue manager Alan Brookes said events and activities were well supported but it was "not at all easy" to find people to help run the hall.
