Camp Bastion: Final tour of 34 Field Hospital

BBC Look North has been given access to Camp Bastion, the British-run base in southern Afghanistan, which is set to close within the next few weeks signalling the end of British and Yorkshire involvement in the country.

The 34 Field Hospital at Camp Bastion has become the best in the world at dealing with wounded soldiers on the battlefield, with 98% of patients there surviving injuries.

This is the final tour for the unit, which is based at Strensall barracks in York, and the BBC's Harry Gration has been out to Afghanistan to see how the team operate.
