Birmingham homes heated by residents' sewage gas
For the first time in the UK, Severn Trent Water is supplying gas generated by one of the region's sewage plants into the National Grid.
The plant in Minworth, Warwickshire, treats the waste of two-and-a-half million people in Birmingham, and the gas will provide enough energy to help power about 4,000 homes.
