Newcastle man charged after college pipe bomb plot 'foiled'
A plot to cause "serious harm" at a college on Tyneside has been foiled, police have said.
A teenager was arrested after homemade explosives were discovered in a house in Hamilton Place, Newcastle on Monday.
Liam Lyburd, 18, charged with seven offences, including possessing an explosive substance, has been remanded by magistrates in North Tyneside.
