West Midlands remembers Paris terror victims

Businesses across the West Midlands have held a minute's silence to to pay tribute to victims of the terror attack in Paris.

Gunmen shot 12 people dead at the office of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday.

Journalists at the Worcester News were among those to pause and remember the victims.

Its editor Peter John said it was important to stand up against what was an "attack on free speech".

Cartoonists in the West Midlands also paid their own tributes, while French businesses in the area joined their country's day of national mourning.
