Reading's £20m bus and cycle route 'ambitious' solution to congestion
Reading Borough Council has said that a proposed £20m bus and cycle route is an "ambitious" scheme to reduce "bottleneck" congestion across the town.
Labour councillor Tony Page said: "We could be talking about 50, 60 or 70 buses an hour going through that route... [that would be] a lot of cars off the road."
But Green councillor Rob White says that the authority should be more ambitious, and potentially consider bringing in a low emission zone.
