Campaigners try to save Reading's 200-year-old lamp-posts

Replacing antique street lights is destroying a town's heritage, campaigners say.

The number of iron lamp-posts in Reading has fallen from 700 to 400 in the space of a year.

Reading council says it's only replacing lights that have "structural faults", which are a risk to public safety.
