Wolverhampton animal sanctuary saved by public donations

An animal sanctuary in the West Midlands has been saved from closure after the public donated £15,000.

The Green Meadow Animal Sanctuary at Pattingham, Wolverhampton, is home to 150 farm animals including sheep, goats and horses.

The sanctuary faced a funding crisis after losing its main benefactor.

Daphne Wain from the sanctuary said: "I've just got to keep that momentum going, but right now the animals are safe."
