Birmingham Library website 'cost more than £1m'

A council has said it is reviewing its £120m a year contract with Capita, after it was revealed the service company charged more than £1m to build the new Library of Birmingham website.

Birmingham City Council said it did not know how much it would cost to break the contract for IT, call centre and billing services, due to run until 2021.

David Gregory-Kumar spoke to Michael Lewis, head of libraries for Shropshire Council and Professor David Bailey from Aston University.
