Black Country man meets half sister for first time
A Black Country man has met his half sister for the first time.
John Haydon's mother left when he was three and eventually settled in the USA.
A few months ago Mr Haydon found he had a half sister, Dee Messer, who has now travelled from her home in Tennessee to Birmingham.
She discovered she had a half-bother when she contacted family ancestry site Rootschat.
"They finally convinced me that she [my mother] had been married before and she had two sons... and one died," she said.
BBC Midlands Today's Joanne Writtle reports.
