Birmingham tunnel closure delays 'expected'
Congestion following the closure of two Birmingham tunnels has been "very much as expected", contractors behind the work said.
The St Chad's and Queensway tunnels on the A38 have been shut since Friday evening.
Amey highways network manager Eddie Fellows said: "We were always expecting delays and congestion in the first couple of days while people get used to the altered traffic arrangements.
"The travel and traffic arrangements that we put on are virtually identical to the ones that worked so well last year."
BBC Midlands Today's Louisa Currie reported on Monday.
