World War One dead honoured by ice figure installation

Ice statues representing those who died in World War One were placed on the steps of Birmingham's Chamberlain Square by members of the public.

Minimum Monument was created by Brazilian sculptor Nele Azevedo.

The collection of 5,000 figures was her first installation in England and the largest she had done.

The melting of the figures represented the transience of human life.
