Contents of Vanley Burke's flat to go on display
Birmingham's Ikon Gallery is planning to exhibit the "entire contents" of photographer Vanley Burke's flat.
Mr Burke, who was born in Jamaica, has lived in Birmingham since 1965 and for six decades has been documenting the African Caribbean community.
The gallery is trying to raise £17,000 from a public appeal through the Art Fund so the contents of the photographer's Nechells flat can be displayed next summer.
Debbie Kermode, deputy director of the gallery, said: "Burke's home is extraordinary - a cabinet of wonderful curiosities."
