Birmingham travel company admits mis-selling pilgrimages
A travel company has been ordered to pay almost £70,000 after mis-selling pilgrimage trips.
Umrah & Hajj Specialist Ltd, based on Coventry Road, Birmingham admitted five charges under unfair trading regulations.
The prosecution, brought by Birmingham Trading Standards, was part of a crackdown in recent years on travel firms in the city offering packages to Mecca.
The sentence includes £38,000 in compensation to seven customers.
