Birmingham City fan hurt in police baton strike
A Birmingham City fan filmed the moment he was struck by a police baton before a match against rivals Aston Villa.
The 44-year-old fan, who didn't wish to be named, had complained that excessive force was used against him outside Villa Park on 22 September last year.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission, which investigated the incident, said the police constable involved had a case to answer for misconduct. West Midlands Police said the officer would undergo retraining in first aid and the use of force.
