Citizen Khan actor Adil Ray picks up doctorate from Birmingham City University

The star of BBC One comedy Citizen Khan has received an honorary degree from a university in his home city.

Actor and broadcaster Adil Ray was awarded the doctorate by Birmingham City University, alongside students graduating from the Birmingham Conservatoire, Birmingham School of Media and the Schools of Art and English.

Earlier this year he received an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours for his services to broadcasting.
