Specialist firefighters called in after 800kg horse collapses

An 800kg horse called Tess was helped back to her feet by specialist fire crews.

Firefighters were called to Sandwell Valley Riding Centre, at West Bromwich, to help Tess, who had an injured back leg and could not stand.

West Midlands Fire Service's technical rescue unit was called to the incident, which saw Tess winched into a field for treatment from a vet.
