West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis reacts to speculation about his job

Head coach Tony Pulis has said he never considered leaving West Brom - despite the club's failure to land some of his preferred transfer targets this summer.

Pulis was absent from last Saturday's friendly against Delhi Dynamos, fuelling speculation he would be leaving The Hawthorns.

The Baggies broke their club record to sign Spurs' Nacer Chadli for £13m, but a move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho did not materialise.

Pulis confirmed he had spoken to club chairman John Williams to discuss the fall out from West Brom's transfer window activity.
