Birmingham chef Glynn Purnell dishes up mayoral election for voters 'in dark'
Michelin star chef Glynn Purnell may have helped put Birmingham on the culinary map but those areas covered by a West Midlands elected mayor - and the fact there is an election at all - seem to be far less clear to voters.
He has been quizzing commuters about what they know of the vote for the person to run a newly created combined authority - or "super council".
He found people who were "in the dark" about the process in May, saying: "No one seemed to have a clue about the election or the fact that we're getting an elected mayor."
