Parents of crash death girl call for law change
The parents a three-year-old girl killed by a motorist with poor eyesight are calling for a new law, where medical professionals are required to tell the DVLA if they think someone is unfit to drive.
Motorist John Place had been told to stop driving weeks before he struck Poppy-Arabella Clarke as she used a pedestrian crossing.
Her mother Rachel Clarke, who was injured, said: "She's everything you could wish for in a little girl. She was always dancing and singing."
Solicitors are contacting MPs on the family's behalf in an attempt to gain government interest.
