Police video records moment driver rams officers' car

Police have released footage of the moment a banned driver rammed a police car while being pursued by officers.

Reece Williams-Brown of Oddingley Road, Northfield, Birmingham has been jailed for three years.

He also drove at 60mph in a 40mph zone and mounted the pavement while driving the stolen Nissan X-Trail in the Heartlands area of the city on 12 November.

Birmingham Crown Court heard he narrowly missed two pedestrians during the chase.

On 14 December, Williams-Brown, 18, admitted car theft and dangerous driving. He also pleaded guilty to burglary and driving while disqualified.
