Old Bristol fire station gets new lease of life as youth club
An old fire station in Bristol has been given a new lease of life as a youth centre thanks to a £5m makeover.
The project had gained funding under the previous Labour government but when the Tory-led coalition came to power in 2010, the scheme fell into doubt.
But following four years of hard work, it has now been renovated thanks to the group of young Bristolians.
The landmark building in the centre of the city was in operation as a fire station from 1930 to 1973.
