Widow hears husband's voice via teddy

A widow's family has recorded the moment she discovered a teddy bear containing a recording of her late husband's voice was fixed.

Before he died of cancer 11 years ago Den Walters, from Bristol, recorded a message to his wife Jean, which was transferred to the soft toy's voice box.

Mrs Walters, who has dementia, said it "broke her heart" when the voice stopped working.

Her family made a social media appeal and the original developer managed to restore the voice.

In the footage, her family can be heard to say the rescued recording is "a bit crackly" - but a thrilled Mrs Walters doesn't seem to mind.
