Council 'loses' £2.3m from budget
Cambridge City Council has admitted an accounting error by its finance department has left its proposed budget short by £2.3m.
Tim Bick, leader of the Lib Dem-controlled authority, said he was hopeful its services would be protected from any impact of the mistake, which was uncovered by external auditors.
Labour leader Lewis Herbert has called for an investigation.
