Abuse victims 'silenced and shamed' by own families

A report into sex abuse within the Asian community in Coventry has found that relatives are forcing some victims to stay silent for fear of bringing shame on their families.

Campaigners say the victims, mostly women, are often blamed for the attacks, with many refusing to seek medical or psychological help to deal with the trauma.
