Numbers treble at Marcus Willis club after Wimbledon
A tennis club in Warwick has seen its numbers treble following the success of star coach Marcus Willis, at Wimbledon.
After winning six qualifying matches to reach the main draw, the 25-year-old beat Ricardas Berankis in straight-sets to set up a Centre Court meeting with Roger Federer in the second round, which saw him exit the tournament.
He was met by cheers as he returned to Warwick Boat Club, to coach children at this year's tennis camp.
The camp is completely booked thanks to Willis. He said: "If you'd told me that before this all happened I would have bitten your hand off, that's great."
