Top tips on embroidery from the royal stitcher

One of the team involved in stitching the lace on Kate Middleton's wedding dress says she's "delighted" by the revival in embroidery.

Nicola Jarvis from Leamington Spa has been involved in the ancient craft for 25 years and teaches at the Royal School of Needlework at Hamton Court Palace in London.

She describes working on the royal wedding dress as a "fabulous moment in her career."

This year her own bird pattern embroidery kits have gone on sale in high street retailer John Lewis.
