Coventry school's pigeon pal did not want to leave

A racing pigeon spotted in a school corridor was set free by staff, only for it to return the next day and peck on the window.

The bird at Whoberley Hall Primary School in Coventry has since been nicknamed Percy and is a hit with the pupils.

Its overseas owner has been identified and a reunion is due.

In the meantime, pupils are looking after their feathered friend.
