Cockermouth School pupils send pod into space

Pupils from a school in Cumbria have sent a giant balloon into space to capture footage of the earth.

The year 11 students from Cockermouth School sent the pod up to gather footage of the blackness of space and curvature of the earth.

The science pupils said the experience was "amazing".

The project was set by a local engineering firm in Cleator Moor.
