Carlisle floods: Ten years on, how has the city coped?
Ten years since the lives of those in Carlisle were devastated by torrential and sustained rainstorms, how have they coped?
The extreme weather event in 2005 saw the amount of rain that would usually fall in two months, fall in just one night.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service used boats to rescue stranded residents from their homes, with almost 2,000 properties destroyed.
Carlisle resident Ann Reed said she cried for "days and days" after her house was damaged and "still gets scared" every time it rains.
Malcolm Farquharson told how the community rallied round after the flood.
