Derbyshire couple fight to keep Norway farm
A Derbyshire couple have said their dream of a new life in Norway has turned into a nightmare.
Paul and Andrea Hodgkinson planned to move to rural Norway after selling their property in Matlock.
However, the couple said the Norwegian house and farm that they bought might be forcibly sold, leaving them homeless.
A spokeswoman for the Norwegian Agricultural Authority said she understood the Hodgkinsons had been warned several times that under law they must live at the farm permanently to keep it.
Since they have not been living there, the law stipulates the farm must be sold.
James Roberson reports.
