Derbyshire farmers end milk cuts blockade

Derbyshire farmers who organised a blockade of a milk processing plant have ended their protest.

Organised to protest against cuts in the price of milk, the blockade at the Dairycrest plant in Foston lasted for 24 hours.

The farmers left on Thursday lunchtime after they received assurances a proposed price cut would not be made.
