Eye test spotted Derby plumber had cancer
A Derby plumber has said he owes his life to an optometrist who spotted he might have a rare form of cancer.
During a routine eye test two years ago, Davina Dosanjh noticed a 1mm-long haemorrhage on 52-year-old Steve Trower's retina.
A blood test revealed he had myeloma - a type of bone marrow cancer from which he has now fully recovered.
Geeta Pendse reports.
