Allenton allotment raids leave gardeners with no equipment

An allotment near Derby has been burgled five times in six weeks, leaving gardeners with no equipment to use.

About £5,000 of gardening gear, including a £1,500 mower, has been stolen from Allenton's Merrill Way allotment.

Secretary Jackie Holmes said: "We don't know what we are going to do."
