Ecton copper mine winding house opened up to the public

A former copper mine's winding house has been opened up to the public in the Peak District.

During the 18th Century, Ecton mine, which now belongs to the National Trust, made millions of pounds for the Dukes of Devonshire in Derbyshire.

The mine shaft is as deep as the Empire State building is high, according to Paul Mortimer from the National Trust.

James Roberson reports for East Midlands Today.
