Derby bus driver moves cones on a closed road

A bus driver has been seen moving cones on a road where a building is at risk of collapse to continue along a route.

Derby City Council has placed road closed signs in Church Street, Alvaston because a 400-year-old cottage was on the verge of falling down.

BBC Radio Derby reporter Martyn Williams filmed the double-decker bus earlier. The council said new signs will be put in place.

An Arriva spokesman said: "We will be carrying out a full and thorough investigation to ensure that our drivers don't move cones when roads are closed."
