Portsmouth's Queen Alexandra Hospital launches steam clean area

The Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth has started a new service which steam cleans each hospital bed.

The aim is to try to reduce the number of hospital-borne infections, such as MRSA.

As soon as one patient is discharged, the bed is taken off the wards and removed to a special area where it is given a thorough cleaning.
