School fire 'devastates' building

A fire at a Dorset school thought to have been caused by a lightning strike has destroyed two years of art work belonging to students.

Firefighters are continuing to investigate a fire at a Dorset school which is thought to have been caused by a lightning strike.

The blaze in the arts and theatre block of Lytchett Minster Upper School started shortly after residents living nearby heard a thunderclap on Thursday morning.

Smoke could be seen from Poole, more than 10 miles away.
