Mail dispute halts deliveries

Residents on a housing estate in Dorset say they have been forced to deliver their own mail following a dispute between Royal Mail and a resident.

Residents on a housing estate in Dorset have been forced to deliver their own mail following a dispute between Royal Mail and a resident.

Deliveries have been suspended to 80 homes in Oaklands Park at Crossways near Dorchester.

A temporary sorting office has been set up with residents organising their own deliveries.

Royal Mail has defended its actions saying a postman was subjected to threatening behaviour by a resident. The individual has denied the claims.
