Essex businesses hit by flash floods fear for future

Some business owners fear they may never be able to reopen after torrential rain caused flash flooding in Essex over the bank holiday weekend.

In just 12 hours on Saturday, Essex Fire and Rescue handled more than 400 calls to flooded homes and businesses.

The clear up has started, but for many it will take weeks and some say the damage caused by flood water mixed with sewage is so devastating they are considering their future.
