Tesco customer finds mouse in shopping bag

Thorough checks have been carried out by Tesco after a customer reported a mouse leaping out from a shopping bag.

Nick Bain, from Clacton in Essex, found the unexpected item while unpacking the groceries in his kitchen.

The mouse disappeared into a gap, where it hid for two days,

Mr Bain said Tesco paid for pest controllers to catch the mouse. Tesco said it had carried out a "thorough check of the store".
