Chelmsford road named after killed soldier Scott Hardy

A road in Chelmsford has been named after a soldier who was killed in Afghanistan in 2010.

L/Cpl Scott Hardy, of the 1st Battalion, the Royal Anglians, was caught in a blast in Helmand province, along with Pte James Grigg, who also died.

His father, Ian Hardy, spoke of his pride towards his son as he unveiled the road sign for Hardy Close on Saturday.
