Tonnes of rubbish dumped near Basildon country park

Tonnes of rubbish including asbestos and human waste have been dumped near a country park in Essex.

A clear-up by Basildon Council will cost £20,000 and has inflicted huge damage on the area around Wat Tyler Country Park.

A beekeeper said about 270,000 of his insects have died as a result of the fly-tipping, as hives were knocked over.
