West builders urged to link up with schools

West Country builders are being urged to join forces with local schools to help recruit more young people into construction.

Major projects like the new Hinkley Point C nuclear power station, as well as big road schemes and house building are boosting the industry.

But companies say they will run out of people to work on such schemes unless more young people join in.

Another 4,000 builders and construction professionals are needed every year across the region.
